Harvest Moon is 10 days old

Baby Harvest Moon aka Harv is 10 days old and happy to report he's thriving!!
He had rough time a week ago when he decided eating was no fun. Big Mama fed him throughout the day, got his warmth and blood sugar up and has been thriving ever since. He doubled his birth weight in 8 days which is totally on schedule.

He is the sweetest boy ever!

He's figured out where the heat is. He's all ready picked out a favorite toy even though he can't see it yet. I have toys, blankets and obstacles in the box to keep him company and warm.

You can see where his littel eyes are beginning to peek out at you. Won't be long until both peepers are open.

Enjoy the photos of this sweet little guy, a special gift from God.

Announcing the arrival of

Old Snowmass Cotons Harvest Moon!

Sierra's Baby Boy

Old Snowmass Cotons is proud to announce Sierra gave birth on September 20, 2009, to a handsome Baby Boy!

Big Mama was too early in her mating with Jack aka Jespersens' Eros in Effigy, thus we have one very special boy.

Sierra is an excellent mother and attends to his every need and desire. She hardly ever leaves his side.

Although he's a tiny little guy, he has a huge personality all ready.

Please enjoy his photos taken when he was 1 day old.

Tanner and Cheyenne

Good grief August is almost over, kids are back to school and football starts. I'm sorry where did Summer go? I blinked and it's almost done.

Tanner is now almost 8 months old and Cheyenne is a whopping 4 months now.

Tanner is really favoring his Daddy Remy right now but can also see his beautiful Mother in his face too. Cheyenne still looks like a beautiful princess favoring her Mama's side right now.

They make such a cute couple. They're inseparable and play until they collapse. They love to dine together in their own little pen and will share a bully stick until Cheynne steals in away. Adorable kids!
Next month Sierra's expecting a visit from the Puppy Stork...Stay Tuned!

Tanner Best of Breed

Tanner's first dog show was a UKC event in Longmont, Colorado July 18.

He did great for his debut taking Best of Breed in 2 out of the 3 shows he was entered.

He showed very well and I was extremely proud to show my own breeding. He was a happy boy as he toured the ring and he even kissed one of the judges.

We did not take a group placement unfortunately but he did an excellent job for a y6 month old.

Sierra and baby Cheyenne accompanied us to the show and were great supporters. Cheyenne's brother Alfie also came to see us and Cheyenne loved seeing him again. He's a dear little boy who's enjoying his new life in Boulder.

Coton Party

Terri Tyler hosted a wonderful Coton party at her lovely home in Longmont in July. A fun time was had by all!

It was our first Coton party and it was great to see Cotons of all sizes, colors, hair do's and temperaments.

Everyone had a great time and the 20+ Cotons got along great.

Poor Sierra was in high heat and miserable to be in strange surroundings and in hot temperatures. She was mated with Terri's male Jack so we will see if we have puppies in September.

Please enjoy the party photos and the stunning sunset.

Cheyenne and Tanner

Young love...one love. It's all beginning at a young age for Tanner and Cheynne. They're very smitten with each other so long as Tanner doesn't try to hump her.

We'll see what the next couple of years bring for these 2 lovelies. Is it a match made in heaven, stay tuned............

Cheyenne 9-10 weeks old

Cheyenne is coming out of her shell. Sometimes she doesn't know what to think, sometimes she can't but help tell you what she thinks.
She is well on her way to being the Farmer's Market Queen. We're going to 2-3 a week and she loves them because she knows she'll get popcorn and other goodies.

Alfie goes home

Alfie and Cheyenne said good-bye to each other this week as Alfie left for his new home in Boulder.

Cheyenne is settling in as the youngest member of the household. Tanner's a little upset his roll as baby in the family only lasted a couple of months.

Please enjoy their last day together as they ran and enjoyed a last kiss.

Tunnel Madness

I set up the play huts in the front yard in hopes it entertained the dogs for a little while. They had fun dodging in and out, picking up balls and then running out.

Fun time for all.

Brothers and Sister Reunited

Tanner, 5 months old, and the puppies met for a brief playdate with sister Bailey (Wynter) and half brother Baxter (George). Their Mommy had a harrowing drive over Vail Passl then a thunderstorm blew in. But the puppies had a good time running around with each other again.

Aspen's puppies had their first long car ride and they did great. They really wanted to play with the older puppies but Big Mama wouldn't let them since the bigger puppies would pounce on the smaller ones and it would have been a mess.

It was fun to see Baxter and Bailey's happy little faces again!
