Cheyenne and Tanner

Young love...one love. It's all beginning at a young age for Tanner and Cheynne. They're very smitten with each other so long as Tanner doesn't try to hump her.

We'll see what the next couple of years bring for these 2 lovelies. Is it a match made in heaven, stay tuned............

Cheyenne 9-10 weeks old

Cheyenne is coming out of her shell. Sometimes she doesn't know what to think, sometimes she can't but help tell you what she thinks.
She is well on her way to being the Farmer's Market Queen. We're going to 2-3 a week and she loves them because she knows she'll get popcorn and other goodies.

Alfie goes home

Alfie and Cheyenne said good-bye to each other this week as Alfie left for his new home in Boulder.

Cheyenne is settling in as the youngest member of the household. Tanner's a little upset his roll as baby in the family only lasted a couple of months.

Please enjoy their last day together as they ran and enjoyed a last kiss.

Tunnel Madness

I set up the play huts in the front yard in hopes it entertained the dogs for a little while. They had fun dodging in and out, picking up balls and then running out.

Fun time for all.

Brothers and Sister Reunited

Tanner, 5 months old, and the puppies met for a brief playdate with sister Bailey (Wynter) and half brother Baxter (George). Their Mommy had a harrowing drive over Vail Passl then a thunderstorm blew in. But the puppies had a good time running around with each other again.

Aspen's puppies had their first long car ride and they did great. They really wanted to play with the older puppies but Big Mama wouldn't let them since the bigger puppies would pounce on the smaller ones and it would have been a mess.

It was fun to see Baxter and Bailey's happy little faces again!

Clean seven week old puppies

The puppies are running amuck these days. Running around in the yard, digging in the garden, eating flowers, chasing butterflies and playing hard.

They were both troopers for their first bath, first car ride and first official errand.

Alfie is quite the ladies man with women swooning over him. Toni/Makena/Cheyenne is a beautiful girl and she seems to know it. Alfie found part of a kleenex on the floor and instinctively knew I was going to take it away from him so ran away. That's amazing since it had not happened before. "No, it's mine you can't have it" must be in his DNA.

The puppies are eating 3 meals a day, learning to go outside to potty and will soon sleep in their crate all night.

You can see how much they love each other and how beautiful they are. Oh and I am NOT biased in any way!

Makena, Toni, Cheyenne ?????

Those are her names I'm trying out this week. I have no idea why I'm having such a hard time picking out a cool name for this beautiful girl.

Anyway, isn't she gorgeous?

She is full of spunk and fairly independent which is typical of a Coton girl. Her favorite thing is biting Alfie's tail and dragging him around while he protests. They're about the same size so he doesn't fight her too much in case she tries to clobber him.

If she's unhappy she lets out this cry howling sound which is not desirable in such a nice young lady.

Life goes on in the Rocky Mountain Springtime.

Alfie Squeaky Clean

The puppies had their first bath this weekend, and it wasn't completely an ordeal. They did pretty good. You will see a photo of Alfie givng me the evil eye after I finished blow drying him.

They are now 7 weeks old, believe it or not. Time is flying by quickly.

After their bath, the puppies went outside and got all dirty again but they still smell good.
Here's Mr "what's it all about" Alfie!

The Princess ???

The Princess actually isn't all the Princess-like, therefore needs a name. She is quite the go-getter who forever pesters her brother.

Poor little Alfie was minding his own business chewing on a bone when "Princess" grabs his tail and drags him across the pen. He's so nice he didn't say a word, but should have let her know not to treat him like that.

Coton girls, what are you gonna do?

Singin' In between the Rain....

The mornings are when the puppies can be outside before the afternoon thunderstorms arrive. We're experiencing a very wet monsoonal time here in the rockies, everything is so green.....and wet.
Anyway, the puppies love, love, love the front yard where they can run, play and eat plants, yummy!

There are some photos with their Aunt Molly who's looking a little bit like Ziggy Marley these days. The wet weather plays havoc with their coats and Molly looks a little bit like she's in dreads.

We recieved a box with some new toys and the puppies just had to check out what was inside. Little Alfie got caught with his whole body in the toy box, sort of speak.

Their best game is "ambush" whereby one puppy "hides" then jumps out "scaring" the other puppy. They can play this game for a good 5 minutes before they move on to something else.

Alfie now has his name and I must decide on a name for the feisty little girl, it's not easy.
