Bogie is home

Baby Bogie went home this past weekend and our home is without a puppy in out house for the first time in forever. Although there's loud, happy and boisterous Coton adults, it's just not the same without a baby around.
All puppies get a bath before they go home so they're nice and clean. Here's Bogie after his bath.
Such a handsome and happy boy. We were so blessed to be his first family.

Baby Bogie

Baby Bogie, almost 9 weeks old. Bogs is getting ready to move to Colorado Springs and just had witnessed his first snow.
Bogie jumped into my laundry basket and proceeded to look too cute for words. He looks a lot like his daddy so is a very handsome little guy.

Fall in Snowmass

With the exceptional Fall weather we've experienced this year, the younger Coton kids have had ample opportunity to run and play in the yard. Fun times for all!
Tanner, Cheyenne and Harvey Duke are the Three Musketeers and in constant run/play motion. Sierra and Molly try to break into the "click" but are not always successful. There's nothing like a gaggle of running happy Cotons.

Halloween Oldies but Goodies

Here are some of my scary Halloween photos of the babies from the days of yore. Always fun to see them again at this time of year when witches and goblins roam the streets.
Boo!

Spring Puppies Happy in Forever Homes

One of the pleasures of breeding is receiving fun updates and photos of puppies in their forever homes. It warms your heart to see them so happy, loved and cared for. These puppies were in Colby's last litter this spring. As you can see they're settled into their homes living the good life.
The puppy that was "Lindsey" is the bottom photo and she's the belle of a very busy family living on the plains. It's nice to see the color on her head is still there. She's a big girl who is loved by all!
The other puppy was "Carmela" and she has the opportunity to travel between the west coast and Colorado. She has 2 big sisters who adore her and have adorned her puppy pen with pink. After these photos were taken she had her first hair cut, no shag.
It's my firm belief that each puppy finds their way to the family they're are meant to be with forever. It's my job as breeder to make that magical connection happen. It's just all a labor of love from beginning to forever.

Molly's Blue Ribbon Litter

Molly's litter qualifies as an American Coton Club Blue Ribbon litter. This signifies parents of litters that have surpassed the minimum health testing requirements set forth in the ACC Health Testing Program.
Molly has had normal test results for CERF, CMR, Thyroid, Patella, Cardiac and has had a full blood panel.

Rocky Mountain High has earned his CHIC in OFA having cleared his OFA hips/elbows, Cardiac, Patella, and Thyroid. He's also had his CERF, clear for CMR, vWD and has a normal blood panel.

The Colorado Peach Litter

Molly Brown and Rocky Mountain High had 3 beautiful Coton peach puppies on August 26. Colorado is at the peak of the Palisade Peach season and I'll be canning next week so thought it was fitting to name these little puppies peaches.
Elberta is the only girl and she's a beautiful mink girl. Suncrest is a handsome light champagne boy with a white crest on his head and chest. Hale is the spitting image of his studly Daddy.
All are doing just fine and settling into their little nursery.

Strange Blog

I'd like to apologize for the look of the blog, I'm not quite sure how to explain it. Anyway, I'm trying to fix it but may ultimately need a new Blog. Hang in there I'll continue to post.

Shipping Pets in Cargo-Terrible Idea

Old Snowmass Cotons never ships puppies in airline cargo, and this is why.
It's NOT safe!!!
Please read about how seven, yes 7, puppies died in cargo flying on American Airlines between Tulsa and Chicago, in the Summer! They died because they got too hot. Duh.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/08/05/national/main6744756.shtml?tag=stack
Inexcusable and completely preventable. Tragic!
In case you ever wondered why I won't ship puppies, now you know.

Happy 4th of July!

Jimmy

Jimmy is so mature for his age and very intelligent. He's very sweet and is very laid back. He loves to play with his sisters, nibble on his chewies and play "ambush". He's just fine with anything that comes his way and is no hurry to get up from his naps.
The puppies are finally clean after having their 1st bath. They didn't care much for the bath, despite adoring the water sprinkler, but they all survived the ordeal.

Lindsey

The puppies are 8 weeks old and full of themselves and fun playtime. Lindsey's personality is bigger than life with her homecoming queen mentality. She knows she's cute and smart and let's you know all about it.

Carmela

Carmela is a small darling girl with a huge personality! She is so friendly, happy and loving, a very special girl

Fun in the yard

I took the puppies out in the yard for the first time while some of the older dogs played. They just love running and playing in the green grass and tell the neighborhood all about it.
