Daffodil-And then there was one Coton de Tulear Puppy

Guess who's still here. Guess who may or may not find her forever home because she's here. I don't know. I'm getting less and less decisive as I get older.
Anyway, she's a marvelous little girl. She's getting into going to all the summertime events such as farmer's markets, road trips with Big Mama, shopping, planting, eating the plants, chasing the cats, harassing the other dogs. All that fun puppy stuff.
Here's some photos after her weekly bath. She gets so dirty so there's no let up on her baths.

Update: Daffodil is no longer available.

Coton de Tulear Boys and Girls at 4 weeks

Here they are at 4 weeks of age. The boys are 3 days older than the girls and it's starting to show it. The boys are just a little more "into" the world than the girls and are awake a little longer.
Everyone is getting out in the house with everyone for a while every day.
So far Peter seems to have the best coat and has a pretty playful personality. Patrick is a clown, he hops around trying to run but he ends up looking like a Mexican jumping bean. Daffodil has the most gorgeous head and has a good coat as well. Little Tulip loves to lunge at the toys and is the sweetest thing. Robin is the adventurer, she is always roaming around checking everything out.
Enjoy.

Coton de Tulear Play Pen

I finally set up a pen for all the puppies and the two mamas. Boys in the left corner, girls in the right. I originally had a divider to separate the two mamas. That didn't work because Sierra could figure out how to get around and/or over the divider so I took it away for everyone to be together.
But then Sierra decided all the puppies were hers which left Cheyenne with out her boys.
It just didn't quite work out the way I'd planned so they're now in separate pens again. The puppies get together, without mamas, a few times a day to play and eat each others faces.
Hopefully when they're weaned the mamas will be a little more accomodating and will allow one big party.

Coton de Tulear-The First Meal

Now that the puppies are 3 weeks old it's time they begin the weaning process. Yay! Some puppies love it and begin eating right away, others turn their noses up and walk away. Peter loves the food, Patrick isn't a fan.

Coton de Tulear Boys and Girls

Today I put both litters together so that the girls and the boys could all meet. Of course they proceeded to fall asleep instead of getting to know each other.
The boys are trying to walk and the girls are only thinking about it. They're beginning to interact with their mother and me and love to be held.
Life will change quite a bit for these puppies when they begin to hear and regulate their own temperature. Then the real fun begins for all of us.

Cheyenne with her boys. She's so proud and so ready to go out and play. Peter and Patrick have their eyes open and can now see their toys and their Mama.

Bogie is home

Baby Bogie went home this past weekend and our home is without a puppy in out house for the first time in forever. Although there's loud, happy and boisterous Coton adults, it's just not the same without a baby around.
All puppies get a bath before they go home so they're nice and clean. Here's Bogie after his bath.
Such a handsome and happy boy. We were so blessed to be his first family.

Baby Bogie

Baby Bogie, almost 9 weeks old. Bogs is getting ready to move to Colorado Springs and just had witnessed his first snow.
Bogie jumped into my laundry basket and proceeded to look too cute for words. He looks a lot like his daddy so is a very handsome little guy.

Jimmy

Jimmy is so mature for his age and very intelligent. He's very sweet and is very laid back. He loves to play with his sisters, nibble on his chewies and play "ambush". He's just fine with anything that comes his way and is no hurry to get up from his naps.
The puppies are finally clean after having their 1st bath. They didn't care much for the bath, despite adoring the water sprinkler, but they all survived the ordeal.
